DJ Max's Top 10 Christmas Party Hits

Clients often ask us what the DJ's in our party packages are like and we can confidently say they know how to fill a dance floor! Playing the right music at a Christmas party is essential, so we use tried and tested professionals at all of our Christmas party venues across London. We asked Max Elliott, one of the top DJ's from our partners at Full Circle Entertainment to tell us his top ten Christmas party tracks that get event the shyest partygoers tapping their toes!

1. 'This is how we do it' by Montell Jordan - A massive Hip Hop anthem to get any party going. Good for the beginning of the night as guests are starting to leave their tables and mingle.

2. 'I gotta feeling' by Black Eyed Peas - Contemporary classic that all DJs will be playing for years to come - a guaranteed dance floor starter.

3. 'I want you back' by Jackson 5 - An absolute party standard, never to go unplayed. People from 18 to 80 will always dance to this motown classic.

4. 'Tease me' by Chaka Demus and Pliers - Not an obvious choice but perfect for when you want to slow the tempo down a notch and give the dance floor a break.

5. 'Don't stop me now' by Queen - Always fun to watch everyone do their best Freddie Mercury stance.

6. 'You've got the love' by Candi Staton - Made popular again more recently by Florence and the Machine but to me the original is what it's all about. As the bass drops people are transported back to their first Ibiza sunset.

7. 'Zorba the Greek' by Gypsy Kings - Don't knock it 'til you've tried it - when you want to draw everyone onto the dance floor this track will not let you down. The moment of realisation when one person starts puts their arm round another is priceless.

8. 'Mr Brightside' by The Killers - Hands in the air, foot to the floor, late night anthem …… that every single person seems to know every single word to!?

9. 'Ice Ice Baby' by Vanilla Ice - For the moves alone this one gets a mention. Helping all guys dance since 1989.

10. 'Sex on fire' by Kings of Leon - Warning - comes with heightened emotions and 'tuneful' sing-along.

11. As any good DJ will tell you, there is always time for one more and no Christmas party would be complete without 'All I want for Christmas' by Mariah Carey. I wonder how many budding office romances this song is responsible for?

The list could go on and on and everyone has their own guilty pleasures so, once you have found the perfect Christmas party venue, please do talk to us about your music requirements. If you know what gets the crowd going or want some specific songs played, all our DJs are happy to take requests or play from a play list if you'd prefer.
